Building on last years Railway 200 events, we are working with the local communities to talk about and capture memories about the railways, including everyday memories.
We held a joint event at Merthyr Library to launch the British Film Institutes Online Archives, where videos were shown of the railways.
We held two Railway Memories sessions at VAMT in Merthyr which the public attended, plus we were joined by the University of South Wales and their photography and media students. We also held a session at Cynon Linc in Aberdare and one at Aberfan Community Centre. There will be further sessions held throughout the year.
