Three Valleys Community Rail Partnership

Formed in 2025 and hosted by Voluntary Action Merthyr Tydfil, the Partnership is part of the national Community Rail Network and is supported by Transport for Wales.

We work collaboratively with local authorities, community groups, charities and the rail industry to deliver projects that reflect local priorities and create shared value.

Our role is to support community involvement, promote sustainable and accessible travel, celebrate local heritage and culture, and help unlock social, economic and environmental benefits along our rail routes.

Through locally-led projects and partnerships, we aim to ensure the railway continues to connect people, places and opportunities across the Three Valleys.
